Finding out the gender

OK, here's the interactive portion of the blog. I want to get folks' opinions on finding out the gender before they are born. Should we or shouldn't we? You can click on the comments link below to post.

DISCLAIMER: Just because you post some advice, don't mean we gonna follow it. :)

This has nothing to with finding out the gender, however you should find out what they are.
Question from your mathematically challenged sibling's husband: if a 5 year old is sliding down a lamp post (posing as a fireman) at 3 miles per hour and his mother can run at 5 miles per hour at which step going upstairs can she catch him and beat his ass?

Yes, you should! Many people don't choose to find out because they want it to be a surprise. Finding out the gender doesn't take away from the wonderful experience of pregnancy or having a child. Pregnancy is full of surprises (either good or bad) anyways, so it's reassuring to know something for sure. Of course you do hear stories about people being told that they are having a girl and it ends up being a boy--or the other way around, but the doctors and technicians are pretty good about determining the gender.

Everybody is going to say to find out!!! Even I'm going to say it, FIND OUT!!! And as for keeping it a surprise...wasn't finding out they were twin surprise enough? And to answer Rob's question, the mother doesn't reach any steps in time because she's blew a blood vessel in her brain from screaming, "You better hit the floor running because I'm going to beat your ass!" See, you're never going to use that math we learned in school!

I found out the gender of all three of mine. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes to be organized and prepared!! I never felt as though I was ruining a surprise because I am sure I would have been just as surprised at 40 weeks that I was at 20 weeks and when I came home I was more relaxed because the crib was ready and the clothes were washed and put away and I could concentrate on the baby!!

Being that you are my little brother and all - first find out if they're human. Then, I say find out the sex of only one of them. :)
